I don’t have this particular problem, but many people complain that on a laptop keyboard, it’s just too easy to accidentally hit the Caps Lock key instead of Tab or even Shift—and that it’s an insult added to an injury because they never use Caps Lock anyway. If you have this problem, here’s how to turn off the Caps Lock key’s functionality:
1. Open System Preferences: Keyboard & Mouse, Keyboard tab.
2. Click Modifier Keys in the lower left of the window.
3. In the dialog that slides out, choose No Action from the first pop-up menu, and click OK.
