TIP: Instant attachments for Apple Mail

You can drag a file icon into Mail’s icon in the Dock, and Mail opens a new message window with the file already included as an attachment. Depending on how your windows (and perhaps Spaces) are set up, you can drag the proxy icon from a document’s title bar right to the Mail icon, too. (If you haven’t saved the document since its last edits, the proxy icon is dimmed and can’t be dragged – which makes this two tips in one!)
